Cheeky Chimp Blenders?

Finding the right blender to make green smoothies can be a challenge.  You may have an old blender that’s been sitting in the cupboard, which is great to get started.  The most important thing here is ‘for you to get started.’  The health benefits of green smoothies are very powerful and taking the first step is the most important part of change.

If your blender has a low wattage, you find that you need to chop your food finely and blend for a little longer.  You may find that your smoothies can be a little thicker in consistency, which can be a bit harder to drink.  So when your blender has given up the ghost and you are ready to invest in a new one, what do you need to look for?

The better blenders for making greens smoothies are ones that are high speed and have a high wattage or motor power.  For example between 1000w to 1500w power and at least 20.000RPM  are great features to look for.  They are often more expensive and can be around AUD $800-$900.   These powerful blenders are brilliant for breaking down the greens so your body will adsorb the most nutrients from your smoothies.

We have been researching blenders for the last few months and have come across some great products.  Cheeky Chimp Smoothies have placed their first order and will have blenders on sale shortly.  They are 1500w, stylish and have a compact base.  They are a quality item, which was really important to us.  We would not sell anything we don’t use ourselves.  They also come with a one-year guarantee. We introduce the…

  2. Hi Tom

I had a look at the website for the NutriBullet. It’s a nice, neat little unit from the demonstration video. I haven’t had the opportunity to use one personally. Comparing the two from a technical point of view, the NutriBullet has a 600 watt motor, WHIZ Chimp has a 1500 watt motor. Motor size does make a big difference in how thoroughly the blender will break down food. Blenders with more power produce a smoother blend. I would recommend blenders with more than 1000 watts of power, for the best results. NutriBullet’s video suggested that blenders fail to break down all the plant and seed material. The WHIZ Chimp breaks down the hard cell walls releasing all the nutrients. We have never had any left over or un-blended material in our smoothies. Again, it may depend on the blender the gentleman used for the demonstration. A comparable product to the WHIZ Chimp, is the Vitamix blender. We have both and the WHIZ Chimp is exactly the same in quality and results.

WHIZ Chimp will definitely blend up hard vegetables like root vegetables. I would be more inclined to use them in salads or cooked. I tend to use water rich foods such as greens, fruits and soft vegetables such as cucumber and zucchini.

The first order of WHIZ Chimp will be for the Australian market. I am certainly happy to supply them internationally if I get enough interest. If you could please let me know what country your from, I will certainly look at that for future orders. Hope this was helpful, look forward to hearing from you.
