Chlorophyll

Our red blood cells are essential to our overall health and wellbeing.  To keep them clean, healthy and abundant, we need to give our body the most useful tools to carry this process.  The body uses hemoglobin to build and transport red blood cells. The blood contains around 75% of hemoglobin.  So how do we increase the body’s ability to carry out this process?  By somehow giving the body more hemoglobin.  That’s where chlorophyll comes in.

Chlorophyll is a substance contained in plants that allows them to absorb light from the sun and turn it into energy. Plants containing high amounts of chlorophyll are easy to identify as they green in colour. Chlorophyll can actively regenerate the body at both a cellular and molecular level.  It has a wide range of benefits such as maintaining the health of the circulatory, immune and digestive systems.  It will also heal wounds, fight infection, cleanse and detoxify the body.

Chlorophyll essentially has the same make up hemoglobin, except for the centre atom.  The centre atom in hemoglobin is iron.  The centre atom in chlorophyll is magnesium.  Chlorophyll, when ingested actually helps to do the job of hemoglobin within the blood.

Adding chlorophyll to your diet increases both the quantity and quality of your red blood cells.  It will give you an added boost of energy and an increase in wellbeing. Adding chlorophyll to the body will actually increase the red blood cell count.  Leafy greens in their natural form provide one of the best sources of chlorophyll.  The green smoothies are one of the easiest ways to get your daily dose of chlorophyll, giving your body the essential tools it needs for extraordinary health.
